Malware problem, some applications not working

greetings - I am a newbie - in trouble. Can someone please help me I have a serious malware problem that showed up and I am unable to get rid of it. I had AVG, I downloaded Spyware Dr, and software has deleted the .exe. I downloaded 'Malwarebytes' and the virus refuses to allow that to run also. Unable to even look into control panel. The windows want me to buy there software and pop ups keep surfasing, along with porn. HOwever.... I decided to play evil - I obliged their insistance to buy the software with an old expired visa number. SInce then, the pop ups are less and so is the redirect to porn. Allowing me to even type. Okay I think I may still have a chance. Using a dell lop top, running xp. Anything I can run to get rid of it? t/u

Bigtrucks: Thank you very much. Monday - just getting back on after Sat pm. Update: Immediately after I posted my SOS... I went to the malwarebytes site and downloaded STOPzilla..... holy cow... it arrested and stopped all the viruses. It ran a 2 hour scan and and located (!!!) 108 virus. I am shocked that my system had that many. Although STOPzilla now wants me to buy the 'registration'. Also when I start up it takes about 30 minutes before I can actually get to use the system. I will follow your GREAT recommendations and I suppose my big issues now is will STOPzilla interfer with your recommendations. ALso - I am a working girl who needs my pc to work. Thus I will reply to you on the recommendations once I run them. Seriously.. Bigtrucks... thank you for coming to my rescue! May the good guys prevail!! :-D

i don't see anything at malwarebytes.org regarding stopzilla? does it want you to pay before it will remove anything?

T/U for your response. YES... STOPzilla wants me to 'pay for their' annual service $39.99 in order to remove the viruses. You are also right - STOPzilla was not on malware.org I found it on 'antimalewarebytes', under stop malware for free. At the time, I was under frequent porn pop up and redirects to a 'PC protect' site *(suspect either russian or nigerian). So I was just trying to load up something quick. Attempting to run Bigtrucks recommends now.

As mentioned, since the first 'hijack' on Sat, I loaded 'STOPzilla" and holy cow this arrested all the viruses. I found this under 'antimalware', instead of malwarebytes site. It ran a scan and found 109 viruses. Wants me to 'pay' to register to delete viruses. Yet I am contained. However, in trying your recommendation for your Malware FIgherters, STOPzilla is preventing me to log onto your link herein. I have not paid for their services. And I did download 'malwarebytes' also on Sat evening - the viruses ate the exe codes. Have icon on screen, but when attempt to run I receive 'run time error 0" and 'run time error 440'. So 1rst question - how do I get to your link suggested - (35407) in order to begin the clean up. And should I remove my (useless) avg software along with the current version of Malwarebytes on my xp system? Please advise.

I tried to reply twice to you - not yet posted. T/U for your interest. YES you are correct - STOPzilla was not on 'malwarebytes.org' it was on 'antimalware'.
YES they want me to purchase their product in order to remove viruses and they redirected my IE window upon logging in to their site.

Have you tried to do this in Safe Mode?
Also start a new thread in software as there are more eyes over there and you can get more help from others as well.

Working the removal program - quest

Thanks for nice note . Yes our good friends here to volunteer and I applaud them for the helping all of us. Question: in the process of following the guidelines - I hit a snag. I am at the part where 'download CCleaner' with link on Major geeks. I clicked on the download and downloaded what I thought was CCleaner - but it says PC Cleaner. Also loaded a 'driver genious' icon. After the cleaner scan, it asked me to register before it cleaned. IS the PC Cleaner the same as CCleaner? I just posted this question on the Software forum. Keep trying to download CCleaner through the 'malware removal' program. I have unistalled PC Cleaner. After I tried to link on the CCleaner link and cannot get past the paypal option. The link I am following is from the MG site? I will try the download from MG software recommendations.

Ok Uninstall the PC Cleaner and try to install the CCLeaner. Continue on and if something doesn't want to download or run note it and when you are finished and post your logs also post anything that may not have worked. Well if you visit the other forums every time you visit even if for just 2-5 minutes it will help. I had a heck of a time when I first came here. Kept getting lost but, eventually I started finding my way around.
