Latest Trojan........Avira Antivir detected another Trojan within the .exe for a game by Westwood. Shortly afterwards any game with graphics (such as Call of Duty) lags badly. The graphics which were never a problem before (such as fire and smoke clouds) nearly bring the game play to a crawl.
I have had Avira attempt to "fix", deleted the Westwood game and been through "read & run me 1st" yet problem reoccurs. Games run well for a minute or two then a noticeable change and lag resumes.
Please assist me in restoring my comp to a usable gamer.

I still need the other two requested logs:
    RootRepeal
    C:\MGLogs.zip --> from running the C:\MGTools.exe

As well as the exact path to the file that Avira is reporting.

    C:\Westwood\RA2\mph.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.F Trojan

    C:\Westwood\RA2\mphmd.exe
    [DETECTION] Is the TR/Dldr.Agent.77824.H Trojan

C:\MGLogs.zip appears to be a folder which contains approx. 11 text files. I'm not sure this is precisly what you requested.
I have been unable to find a log generated by rootrepeal....am I missing something?

I did a search of C drive for *.txt and found no RRlog.txt.

On 11/7/09 you helped me with a similar problem with these two .exe (mph.exe and mphmd.exe) when Avira detected the TR/Dropper.Gen Trojan and it turned out to be a false detection.
Could this be the case here and game/lag problems are unrelated?

sorry for not having it right the first time.

I am not seeing any malware in your logs.

Let me know what is in this folder, please:
    C:\Users\Gary\AppData\Local\temp\Low

    This folder is empty.
The game glitching has corrected itself somehow, also Avira is now detecting TR/Drop.agent.blds in MGtools.exe I suspect this is a false detection.

Good to know. Yes, that is a false positive.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no real-time protection. They are useful as backup scanners. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. If you are running Vista, Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning procedures ian step 3 the READ ME for your Window version and see the instructions to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore ato create a new clean Restore Point.
    9. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    All actions have been performed.
Thanks for the help. I am greatful for the resource, it is reassuring to know I am still Trojan free.
