I have an HP 2009m monitor. Im rather found of it. However the buzzing from the built in speakers is VERY loud. I know it's the speakers because when I pull out the audio wire it stops and starts again when plugged. Also, when I lower the monitor (not computer) volume it lowers and higher with it. Is it the connecting wire?
My other devices like my mic and headphone don't pick up this noise.

Hopefully sometime soon I can run to a store to buy a new green audio wire for starts but else could it be and why could this be happening? Just trying to understand some more.

Have you checked out a different set of speakers to see if it might be either your sound card or the speakers and/or cable?

Can it be my sound card? but my headphones don't have any buzzing.
I really dont have any other speakers.

Monitor speakers are famous for not being that great. Could be they are not well shielded from the interference created by the monitor. You could try a high quality shielded audio cable but you may end up getting a dedicated computer speaker setup to get clean sound.

I might be able to test out a friends computer speaker today, If I do ill be sure to post about the results.
