It's ALWAYS 11

Ok for the last few months I have been noticing an odd......happening.

Every time (actually about 95%) I look at a clock it says 11 minutes past whatever hour, what the hell is with that?
I'm serious, almost every single time.

To make things even stranger......I've never told anyone about this, just figured it was kinda cool/weird. Then a few nights ago my son comes downstairs and says "You know whats weird, it's always 11 minutes past when I look at the clock"

Of course I then told him my story and we were both like :confused

I'm totally serious and 100% telling the truth here.
Whats even scarier is on Friday we were rearanging stuff in the house and a wall clock that stopped months and months ago reads 2:45.....not strange at all huh?.......except the hour hand is stopped in the 11 minutes past position instead of further towards 3 where it should be for 45 minutes past.

And no, I never changed the bats in the wall clock cos no one ever looks at it, it's in a back room lol

BTW this thread was inspired by the 00:00 hour thread and was brought to you by the letter E (for eleven).

Yeah I have thought about that, some kind of subconsious decision to look at the clock or only realise I'm looking at the clock IF it reads 11 minutes past.

Or it could be aliens, thats a much cooler answer, yeah I'm gonna go with aliens :-D

 

I don't use an alarm clock any more but when i do/did i have a knack of waking up just before it goes off and have been like this most of my life.
It is something in the subconscious that has it's own built in clock.

 

Tell you what i have found, and it always seems to be women that have a mass exodus for this sort of thing with clocks, is , they set the clock so that its fast, so that when you get up you think your late for work or your appointment, and your not, your actually ten minutes early or on time, whats that all about, why not just get up at the right time anyway !
BTW Nedlamar i'd go with the alien thing aswell, sounds much neater, nad puts a bit of mystery into the equation ! :cool

One's internal body clock is lot more accurate than most of us think. And, as said, you can program, whether intentionally or otherwise, your mental habits.

 

lmao my wife.....well g/f does that, our bedroom clock is set 28 minutes fast lol, I don't know why.
Now I must admit I set the clock in my car 4 minutes fast but I do that mainly to avoid different clock settings, like if I'm supposed to be somewhere at 9:15 and their clock is 2 minutes faster than mine, my 4 minutes counters it every time.

@Bill....... Me too man, not if my wife sets the alarm for her, she can set it for 6:30 and I'll wake up after she gets up and reset it for 7:45 and then wake up at 7:43. Or if she's off I will wake up 2 or 3 minutes before it goes off.

Actually it could be said that 2009 is a pretty big spread, but I joined in Feb 2009, 02/09.....whoooa.

@Joey....Dude, I'm not talking about just 1 clock here, any clock, it even happens when I ask my boss or co-workers what time it is.........but I do need to get out more lol, Doctor just laid me off for at least 3 months and I have a new graphics card and it's -12c outside, so the likelyhood of me leaving the house more is getting slimmer by the day :-D

I got out of a meeting yesterday at 1:21, it was supposed to end at 1:15. No big deal, until I realized that 121 is 11 SQUARED!
