When trying to click on a link, whether in my Yahoo mail or just on the Web, I will frequently get a white hand that turns partially yellow and it will not let me get to the link, and I hear a click sound. If I right-click on the link, I can get to it. In Internet Options, privacy Tab, I do not have checked Turn on Pop-up Blocker. Anyone know what this might be? Thanks much.:wave

IE, version 8. I know I can use another browser but I like Internet Explorer. This problem started about two weeks ago.:)

Brandy, think I found out what is causing the partially yellow hand. In the Toolbar for IE, I noticed a very small red icon. It turns out to be a popup blocker, so I did this: Pop-up windows can interrupt what you're doing, but Toolbar's Pop-up blocker blocks most unwanted pop-ups from ever becoming a nuisance while still allowing the ones you do want to open to open. Say that three times fast.

Enable or disable the Pop-up blocker
    Click Toolbar's wrench icon.
On the Tools tab, select (or deselect) the 'Pop-up blocker' checkbox.
    Click Save.

I think this will fix the problem. If not, just like General Douglas MacArthur said I SHALL RETURN

    Thanks, Brandy.

Hope that does it. I suspected you were using IE8. The other thing about that browser is all of the extra "features" that cause slow downs and a lot of other problems. If you go to the manage add-ons tab, I disable everything not microsoft related, except Java, that will take about 5 seconds or so to load if called for and you have it off.
I turn off ALL accelerators, it's an oxymoron and totally unneeded.
I turn off everything else I can, I don't have IE8 on right now so I'm not certain of the names, but one is related to site checking, turn it off.
I do leave blocking of pop-ups on though. But ot won't prevent the MS Bing pop-ups! Odd, isn't that?:wave

Thank you, I did this Brandy. (the add on tab)

I have had to restore too many times, as my computer is so slow. When more time I will be back about that. Thanks again. Anna Ruth
