Wow. There seems to have actually been 22 bids so far . . . rolleyes

I'm a fan of collecting older PC equipment . . . I in fact have an operating 133mhz computer with a PC Chips board, 53mhz bus, 64mb (maxed out) ram, and a 500mb (I think . . . not sure now) hard-drive running Windows 95. I fire it up now and then just to play with it (plus, I somehow feel sorry for it, just sitting there in an unused room in the basement). I've actually spent a few bucks on "upgrades" for it (gave the poor thing USB ports) . . . but to shell out that kind of cake for this card? Yikes.

Some folk will buy any old tat! or sell it for that matter, even if this is an engineering sample, certainly not worth the price of a "new" mid-high end PC.

Must dig out my old parts bin to see what tat, ooops gems I have.

I thought Win95 had zero USB support...? :confused

Windows 95 B added support for USB. It wasn't there from the start.

Ah, that makes sense. I'm not too familiar with that OS, on account of not seeing it for over ten years. :p

Right on - it's a later version of Win95; maybe the last revision, actually, but I don't now recall. The card I bought, in fact, was purchased 10 - 12 years ago . . . I needed the interface for an Iomega zip drive that had a USB interface (still have it also, someplace), though I don't now recall why I needed the drive.

There are very, very few drivers that support Win 95 and USB, though. It's a moot point anyway, as I wouldn't recommend anyone use 95 online or for anything other then a stand-alone computer committed to a single purpose.

Like I said, I still have the thing in the basement . . . sometimes I imagine I hear it muttering to itself in the wee hour of the morning, poor thing . . . LOL

:-o I stand corrected. I was talking about that particular PC with my son yesterday, and he assures me we had upgraded it to Win 98 prior to the addition of the USB card. I would have sworn it was still Win 95 . . . I fired it up (been a while), and the boy is right, it's not the one still running Win 95.

I guess I have an upgrade memory miss-match. Or too many old computers laying around . . . :-D
