Steam account hacked

i got my account hacked too the other day, and contacted steam, they did nothing about it, i think steam can care less now. can someone plz help? i found out the guys email + where he lives, he didnt just hack steam he hacked my gamespy account and it sent me the new email that it was changed to, this hacker lives in the UK <snipped language as not needed> sry 2 say that but still can someone plz help?

I contacted Game-spy, yet haven't received a response yet, hopefully soon, and hopefully they will help but i am unsure at the moment what to do.

 

People on steam tried to ask for a chat for me and send me a "link" to free games for steam i was smart enough to know i shouldnt, so no i dont believe i downloaded anything that can possibly get me hacked, so how i did? i have no idea.

 

Neither did i post My email on sites, only places i posted my email were websites that require it to register.

I was told that i downloaded files that may of caused it yet, this started two days ago, and i didnt download anything that day, and i was given the information that it may of been that i downloaded something long ago, and the "hacker" waited for the right moment and did what he has done otherwise i am completely clueless in how he did so.
