Man I'm touchy today.

Cats are in my way.
Boy is still asleep and has my camera.
DAMN PUTER IS ANNOYING ME!
Have to drive somewhere later and don't want to.
Flashlight didn't turn on how I wanted it to.
DAMN PUTER IS ANNOYING ME!
I'm cold.
Windows leak.
I can hear running water but don't know where it's coming from.
DAMN PUTER IS ANNOYING ME!
Tim Hortons got my coffee wrong.
DAMN PUTER IS ANNOYING ME!
Keyboard keys sticking as I type.

And there are wolves after me lol

Just one of them days where I am just gonna be a miserable old git. :mad

Nah, don't shoot the cats. When the day gets better, they're going to come padding and purr loudly and curl up against you, and you'll forget that you were ever angry at them.

 

Yeah I know, cats are very annoying like that. It's almost impossible to stay mad at them for more than 20 seconds lol

I've trained one of my cats to come when I have food without even saying a word.

The other one I've trained to look stoopid ALL the time.

My (only) cat comes when called, and will stop whatever she is doing in a heartbeat when told "NO!" in the right tone of voice. That's all the training I bothered giving her because, frankly, that's all she needs.

See thats want they want you to think, what has actually happen is the cat has train YOU to remind her when she's doing something that is not good for her. See she's waaaay to lazy to remember stuff so uses you to remember it for her lol

You have to remember, cats are busy, they don't have time for superficial things, they are cats, they NEED to nap, if they don't nap 9 or 10 times a day, they wont have enough energy for their main snooze.

 

My son has two Mimsy, suppose it was a bit harsh to say "hate" really just not keen thats all Mimsy !

Exactly! :-DCats aren't dogs, and will never act like dogs. Treat them like cats, speak to them on their level, and yes, they are easy to train and live with.

 

You see, I just got back with my g/f from picking her up from work.
I got myself a bagle with bacon from Tims.
She read the thing I wrote her this morning for Val day and came into the lounge to give me a hug....while hugging , my female cat took the oportunity of us being distracted and promptly stole my bacon!

Then I shout at her and she looks at me with "That look" and I pet her......and you're seriously telling me WE train THEM? lol

 

Well, obviously you aren't...

 

I've tried, only this morning my male cat was sitting on the table where I have my beloved PS3 in surgery and in a very clear stern voice I exclaimed "Tigger, get down" and I motioned to the floor.
He looked at me, yawned and then just knocked my screwdriver onto the floor.
So again I raised my voice sternly and said "Tigger! Get down"
He then just started licking what used to be his boy parts.

 

Well, if he's fully grown up now it's too late. You have to start them young...

I'm working on teaching mine to go from wherever she is sitting down to the floor when I say "Down!" and point. It's slow, but it's getting there.

 

Yeah they are 5 now, thats why I use a squirty water bottle, squirt them in the bum and watch them drag their butt across the floor lol

Seriously though, my cats are awesome, love them like children, never seen cats like them and have had cats for over 20 years, they are both so .....unique, Squeaky is the female, named so because she squeaks instead of meows and I mean even now at 5y/o she sounds like a tiny kitten. And Tigger....because he bounces everywhere lol
