Anyway to change the sound of music?

I was wondering if there was a way to make music off youtube sound better. Many songs are horrible and dont sound like the CD.

 

Faster internet connection, more RAM and better sound card and speakers?

LOL.. sorry, couldn't resist.

Although, for the record, when I bought my house, I realized that I didn't have an easy way to set up my 5.1 in my living room with my TV and such, so now it is in my office attached to my computer.... the sound went from so-so with my old speakers to freaking amazing...

I use to hook my computer up to my 10,000 watt DJ system.. Now THAT was how to watch a movie..

 

Unlikely, it'll be down to the quality of the audio that was used to create the video. If you want good quality music then purchase it

Nah just find a high quality MP4 on youtube :-D They are never the most viewed of a particular song,the original music videos suck@quality I never listen to those the best ones to aim for are the videos with lyrics,a good quality version may be ten places from the top spot of a song of course if its a rare video there will be only one,Mcloud.:yum

Remember to bump the video quality up to the maximum usually 480P as more often than not the sound quality goes up too.

 

But if what you're listening to is bootlegged recordings of live concerts in some bar or another (which seems to be what comes up for about 90% of the bands I search...not so much for the MTV, these guys), nothing you do on your end is going to work. Yes, you can sort-of improve the sound quality by upgrading your system to within an inch of its life, but the initial quality of the recording is, as mcadam says, the major deciding factor in how it sounds.

 

The hills are aliiiiiiiive with the sound of muuuuuusic! :-D
