Which ram is better?

    The second link is higher quality and has a heat spreader.

    yeah, thats what i figured. the price is nearly the same i i'll go with the second. will i have to change my ram settings in the bios or should they be auto decteated? i've never had to mess with that stuff before. the motherboard is an asus p5n73-am.

    It should work without changing settings.

    It will be auto-detected, but maybe not at DDR2-800 speed. You may have to manually change a few settings to get them up to what they're rated for.

    I don't think you will have to but pay attention to your bios post screen.
