15 error's in HKEY_CURRENT_USER under explorer I can not fix need help to fix

1 x Seagate 500GB SATA II 3Gb/s NCQ HDD - 7200rpm, 32MB Cache,
1 x Seagate 200GB (IDE to usb caddy) HDD - 7200rpm, 8MB Cache,
2 x western digi 120GB SATA I 1.5Gb/s HDD - 7200rpm, 8MB Cache,
1 x western digi 80GB SATA I 1.5Gb/s HDD - 7200rpm, 8MB Cache,
1 x Seagate 80GB SATA 1 1.5GB/s HDD - 7200rpm,8MB Cache

OS: Windows XP Pro service pack 3 (1-2 cpu key)

Hi all I am having problems with the (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\windows\currentVersion\explorer\fileexts\) Files .
I have had this problem for a little while and have found it to be a little bit of a pain, as it sometimes makes my computer unresponsive and forcers me to restart. I thought upgrading to windows 7 32bit would fix it but I found when I upgraded my XP pro to Win7 32bit it kept making internet explorer on win7 always restart so I backdated back to my XP pro HDD image and found the same errors had been carried over to windows 7 32bit install that was making explorer always restart in win 7 so I have to fix the problem in XP pro before I can have a successful upgrade to windows 7 32 bit.
I have Uniblue RegistryBooster 2009 and have done a scan and it can find 15 errors that I cannot figure out how to fix I think they just need me to make a file and add a value but I do not know what value to give or what to name the key file.

Have you considered saving your profile information to an external HD, and then do a clean install of the Upgrade to Win 7? You can do this btw and your upgrade license will work.

Reason I say this is you got to ask yourself which takes less time and gets the same result?

 

Another alternative is to click this link http://majorgeeks.com/download4134.html and use this tool instead of Uniblue RegistryBooster 2009, the tool i have pointed you to does it all for you, cleans and sorts out your registry and backs up for you, try it out, i have been using it for a while now !

 

I never upgrade as there's always an issue somewhere, perhaps minor or major but issues almost always occur. Back up your stuff, reinstall W7 w/o key and then install again with key, activate and then update(this is what MS says). Re-install your apps, update and configure and at this point make an image. I realize it's a lot of work but you'll be much happier in the long run when things go bad. Good luck.

 

I didn't mean upgrade like go through the upgrade process. I meant do a clean install, with his upgrade disc, which is what I'm assuming he has.
