Yesterday, I was looking foward to some homemade chili I made and man I couldn't wait to eat it. Cornbread, crackers, and some hot hot chili.

What if any food are you looking forward to having today?

Made some pot roast yesterday but we never eat it the same day, I'll add a side of garlic mashed potatoes, roast veggies and a salad for the lady today.:yum

It all sounds yummy and I don't eat meat any more.
Chili has come up often in the past couple weeks. Almost makes me want to make some.

Well, there's no reason not to make a legume chili then. The beans even satisfy the wolf in me, I don't even miss the meat as the taste and texture are still there.;) I do know the Texans will call this blasphemous but so be it.:p :-D

I use ground turkey in my chili and spaghetti sauce now days. Problem I never learned to cook small and Dan is more of a salmon and asparagus man.

There'd Beeno problems if you ate properly prepared beans and on a regular basis;). Lots of soluble fiber, vitamins and minerals and totally cholesterol free unless you like bacon with yours'.:yum

From the first time I thought of it (turns out I wasn't the first), I have been craving lamb alla marinara with salted pork on olive oil fried polenta... omg, I'm so hungry. My boyfriend can't stand the smell of lamb though so I have to replace it sometimes with a slow cooked cornish hen. Unfortunately, I like it so much I eat way too much of it and near explode.

Well, if you don't mind eating something from a can, Amy's makes some good
chili thats vegan. You'd swear its got ground beef in it but it just tofu.
I like mixing in some stewed tomatoes. Its quick, its easy and its pretty good.

It's so hot here these days - 36°C today. Cold food, chilled food is all I want to eat these days...

Vichyssoise is great, and variations using broadbeans, cauliflower, or broccoli, spinach...

Today I am trying a chilled carrot soup, with cumin and orange, according to this recipe http://www.care2.com/greenliving/cold-carrot-soup-with-orange-and-cumin.html

Now cooking;I will know in a few hours, when it's chilled, if it's as good as it reads...
