Weekend Thread 1.3

Been awhile since I did this myself.

What are your plans this weekend?

Tonight - Hebrew class.

Saturday - working until 2pm, then a double date with some folks from church at 6pm.

Sunday - Church all day and into the evening. That night, try to get my church website formatted correctly in CSS.

 

Tonight - (Friday night already in India) Couple of jhonnie blacks. And a Peperoni pizza!

Saturday - Jing bangs, arriving from Delhi!! (Menu not set for lunch) Cocktails decided:-D

Sunday - Another over night friend. Will supervise cooking the lunch (menu decided!) and dinner and drinks

Monday - Try to work, thankfully I'm the Boss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight: First show of a weekend of working a monster truck rally. LOL
Saturday: Second and third shows of same, with a nice dinner between them.
Sunday: Fourth and final show of same, followed by indulging in several adult beverages, which I will desperately require after four shows of monster trucks. :-D

 

Today (Friday): No clue yet. The nice weather here in CNY has my allergies going and my sinuses feel like 20 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bag.... (note: for you European metric types, that's 9.07184 kg in a 2.26796 kg bag ) but likely hanging out with friends and playing some Wii (RockBand2)

Saturday: Return a bunch of equipment to Time Warner so I can start working for them on Monday, march in our St. Patrick's Day parade here in Syracuse, NY, hang out with some good friends

Sunday: Realize that I start a new job tomorrow and spend the day working on my appearance.... shaving, tweezing (I'm half Italian, that means unibrow and I hate it) and generally making sure I have clean clothes ready to go. Probably dinner with mom.

 

I'm framing the walls and plumbing the laundry room, dinner on Saturday night, probably go out on Sunday, find somewhere sunny to walk.

 

Saturday...Had workout...ouch; my oldest friend is coming round to watch Rugby. We will indulge in a few beverages, (first for a month) and watch a few episodes of Family Guy. We shall probably do this until barely conscious

Sunday..Full English Breakfast and then to the city, (Manchester), for late lunch and a couple of beers. Evening I'm sorting out a laptop for a neighbour.

Monday...up at 6, workout, shower and then breakfast followed by installing Fedora 12 on a couple of machines for a mate. He's a good mate, he pays :cool

 

@ Halo - Going to be working for Time Warner cable... I get to spend all day listening to people complain about their cable bill/service... then convince them that they need to add on more services to make it better.

Not too bad a deal, the $$ is OK and the benefits are good. It also means working for a company with more room to move around and grow, which is key for me. I can't spend the next 20 years tied to the same desk. I need to be constantly challenged and working for the next thing. Sucks to be me I know, but hey, it's a curse. If I get bored, I tend to get in trouble, and I'm hoping that this will keep me from being bored.

So far, the weekend has pretty much been going according to plan....

Was going to try to post the video of the Parade, but am having issues. If you go to www.9wsyr.com and check out the video for the 2010 St. Patrick's Day Parade. I'm in the first hour with the CNY Irish Cultural Society. (starting around 47:40) I'm the one in the bright orange hat on the end of the banner nearest the camera.

What actually happened.
Spent four hours at the ER due to a tooth issue on Saturday, so no framing, painting or plumbing. Managed to work the tooth problem out to go to dinner on Saturday night. That was total fun. Just us and a couple we've been friends with since high school. It went late with a few beers (See "Happy Borthday Sibeer" thread for the product list), didn't get home 'til 3:30am.
Sunday. Didn't get up 'til 11:00am incluing time change, so no framing painting or plumbing. Did go for a walk.

 

Me? Saturday, did remodeling work in house getting ready for sale, my mother's, rest her soul, former house.
Sunday, 4 person cribbage tournament, did well. Played five sets of three, swept two of those. Got skunked in one game, resulting in fourth place out of 16 teams. My partner and I were clearly the strongest players, but when the cards get really cold for a couple of rounds, skill doesn't matter. :wave:wave
