Hello all your major geek :)

I get 2 asus geforce 6600 gt both 128 mb,

My main question is, what is best? to overclock 1 or put in both cards? (if clocking is the way to do it, please link an step by step guide)

    Hi MadsDK

I`ll say this the cards would work best in sli but you`d need an sli mobo and a bridge connector and a good psu to do it.

There are plenty of how to`s on the web do a search for (setting up sli) on youtube.

Hey you, thanks a lot, i think my PSU is just fine for the task.

But whats a sli mobo? :O

SLI MOBO are motherboards that supports using video cards with SLI, these motherboards comes with at least 2 PCI-E x16 slots. If you read the specifications online or in the manual of the motherboard, it will tell you if it's SLI capable or not.

Can you post your entire system specs, including PSU?

I would put 2 in, but TBH, you wont notice much difference in performance as they arnt the greatest cards on the planet. You would notice a MUCH bigger performance increase if you upagraded GPU, even if only a slight upgrade, like a 9600GSO.

As the card does not need a PCI-E power connector, you should be ok PSU wise, but i would suggest you have atleast 500w to run them in SLI.

Well, all my pc spec are following:

    AMD athlon(tm) 64 bit 3000 + = 1,8 ghz.

1,00 bg ram, =2x512 Kingston value (dont know but i mean DDR and dont know what PC) (would love if anyone could tell me where to see what PC and if it is DDR og DDR2)

Asus a8n-sli motherboard, (i know it have to be sli to run 2 cards, not ****ed up stupid. lol)

and ofc. asus geforce 6600 gt 128mb ram..

And a 400W PSU. (have had 2x6600 with that psu)

AND if anyone is that smart to tell me how to overclock with these spec the best way. following this guide:

Or just make it at LOT more simple :)

I think all questions are answered here, i dont think you'll get much of an OC out of the cards, as for the OC guide,

never overclock in high amounts, always change th fsb in increments of 10. So up the fsb by 10MHz save and boot if it gets into windows go back and do it again.

when you have upped the FSB by 60MHz then you need to stress test with prime 95 for 1 hour whilst monitoring the temps. with hardware monitor or real temp. do not let the temps go above 60 degrees c.

if everything is fine you can keep upping by 10MHz untill 60MHz increase again, then stress test using the method above and so on and so on.

when you get to an OC that will not boot that is where you go and change the voltage, only go to the next available voltage if no boot up it again.

when you get to an overclock your happy with stress test with prime 95 for 7 hours whilst monitoring the temps.

When you get no boots it may be neccesarry to do a CMOS reset however you wont have to start upping by 10MHz each time again just go back to the figure you had before it became unstable

Well in my bios, i get something called AI clocker, where i can clock with % procentage, 3 5 8 and 10 %. Would that be a fine solution? Or is the better to increase the multiplier to 8 and the MHz to 210?

Also, if you know anything about the littel fan on the motherboard?

Mine isnt spinning at all? there stands heatsink by it, if that helps? wtf is the problem with that one :D ?
