Chat Roulette

I heard about this on Regis & Kelly this morning. It's a site to have random video (or no video) chats with people. There was something like this here before, where you could chat with a stranger or something.. This one has a place for video though..

I haven't really tried to talk to anyone, but it looks kind of neat.. I don't have a webcam, so I don't think I'd be what people where looking for.

Yeah not for me,I've never put a picture of myself on a computer let alone a video on the internet and I've taped over the webcam on my laptop :-D I can't imagine anything worse than someone taping what you say and playing it back all over the internet along with your face and voice,there's no rehearsal if you make an idiot of yourself your done for.

What I find interesting about this though is its not a new idea its been tried before but not enough people have used it in the past to make it economically viable,its not because there weren't enough people "although I guess it helps." but they were all the wrong type of person.

Over the last 10 years or more the internet has changed,it used to only be the haunt of geeky tech savvy people who worked in IT ect. ect. most of whom were intelligent and successful and had no interest in exhibitionism or a desire to be noticed,now regular people have become the bulk of the users things like this can take off.

Makes me wonder what other ideas have been tried and forgotten about that would thrive in the internet of today.

 

Well that site can be used to see some funny things or even chat. But like anything in the world of sickos and chat/webcams and etc.. you got your pervs and I probably assume someone with some sort of badge will get on and bust some people. I was just clicking next to see what the heck I was doing.. and seen many men doing things.. (didnt stop to stare) but I just see trouble catching up with the sickos on there hopefully.
