    Hello
Bad luck with emal programs -WLM had truncated letters, noiw Thunderbird developed an extra folder.
How do you remove Thunderbird 3.0.3 so you can install a fresh program?
It seems to remember me so I used add/remove, removed cookies, ran ccleaner, uninstaled and reinstalled.
Each time it has my previous knowledge in it.
    Thank you

Download and use the FREE Version of Revo Uninstaller.

Uninstall it with the "Advanced settings" to completely remove the programme.

I did use Revo as instructed but it only disappeared in add/remove.
The program is still as it was.
I checked all the bold entries then clicked delete.
It seemed to work so i rebooted and now i cannot even remove it from addremove. I ran a search in revo but it finds nothing.

REVO is an alternative to the "Add/remove", not an aswell as.

It WILL remove all traces of the software.

Have you thought that the extra folder is linked to your email account? and not the actual email software?

Can you try deleting the folder from within thunderbird.

    Hi
I did not use add/remove. I used Revo or Revo itself would not be able to detect it had I removed it in add/remove.
There must have been a glitch because I used Revo to uninstall itself and it certainly functioned differently than it did with Thunderbird.
I had my system backedup to a usb drive so did a recover and all is well.
I would not hesitate to use Revo again; what do you think about Revo's two different performances ?

Sorry for not being clearer, I was in a hurry.
What I meant was, the first time I used revo to uninstall Thunderbird, I watched it perform a certain way. I had never used it before and did not know what to expect. It failed to remove Thunderbird and only removed the entry in add/remove which left me helpless.
When I used Revo to uninstall Revo itself, I watched its performance and its behavior was very different than the Thunderbird uninstall.
I was asking what you thought about the difference between the two uninstallations as they were quite different in nature.
In other words, could you draw any conclusions form my information?
It is a moot point but my conclusion, unsklilled as I am, is that Revo malfunctioned trying to uninstall Thunderbird.
There is not much room for user error as it is so straight forward.
I hope this is clearer to understand and thank you for your help.
