Do you mean your employer's computer won't allow users to connect to games?

well i work in an inbound call center in tech support. and we cant install flash player, and telnet wont connect to a multi user domain (MUD).

Is there any other browser client that works without flash player?

Or does anyone know of any work rounds?

    Hi

If a new job then I would not be trying to circumvent any administative blocks on using telnet, flash etc as many network admins these days monitor traffic as depending on the company and your contract of employment it could be a sackable offence (is where I am).

Would also imagine that they are using GP to limit what user accounts can do, like install applications and mediaplayers etc

its very lax in that we can do most things its just that when i try to telnet to a server it just tries to connect then basically times out. but i could be connected to the client and a manager could walk by and they wouldnt have a problem. just so long as i am taking calls.

Well, if your job requires this type of access then I would just detail this to your manager, preferably in writing to cover your butt and have your manager get your IT department solve the issue, if you have an IT dept.

Good things to include are how many calls you are missing because of this issue and the netloss of your productivity. BTW, you can't be the only one experiencing this issue. :confused Oh, if this type of access is not related to the job at hand then just forget about it.;) Keep that paycheck coming.

    EDIT: Like Halo mentioned.

Sorry, I misread your post. However I would most definitely request extra access in writing from you to your boss and back from your boss OK'ing it, having the IT team's blessing on there would be great too! Folks lose jobs over this crap way too often. Just looking out for ya.:)

Edit, you sneaked a post in before me.;) OK, understood. It's up to the admins here if they will help you out. Good luck. Most likely it's a security setting.
