    Need solution to browser problems.:cry

SAFARI-Get this error upon clicking on anything after first page has opened and if opening a second or third tab.

Safari can’t open the page “(web page name here)”. The error is: “unknown error” (kCFErrorDomainWinSock:10022) Please choose Help > Report Bugs to Apple, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message
    OR
Page will load in basic text no format

IE- Will load web page fine, then as I start clicking around, no links work. For instance hotmail. I can click first few, then all stops working. If I try to reload I get this.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
    OR
Page will load in basic text no format

How long has this been happening? Is there anything you think that may have caused it?

Have you attempted a system restore to a point before the problem started?

Also, it would be helpful if you could post your operating system and version, please. :)

And I am wondering if there are other signs that this could be malware related.

Oop! If TimW thinks this, I would advise against the system restore for the time being, if it has not already been attempted.

My OS is Windows XP Professional, version 5.1 2600 service pack 3 build 2600 . This has been going on awhile, I think shortly after I installed SAFARI, just got frustrated enough to act upon. So system restore will not work, been happening months. First thought it was just Safari and I had to wait for them to get bugs out. Then as pages just wouldn't open, I went back to IE recently and now happening there.

If, as TimW asked, your machine shows any other signs of a malware infection (ex sluggish performance, pop-up windows, firewalls requesting permission for unfamiliar programs, detections in your antivirus or antispyware programs), you may want to start with the READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide to ensure that your problem isn't caused by the nasties. :)

If not, I might be tempted to make backups, especially of the registry, and then download and run the WinSock fix.

I will give all these a shot and then let you know. Thanks
