Zombie Wars - Logistics, Tactics, and Weapons Thread

Everyone knows that soon, very soon, there is going to be an event that is going to affect the majority of the population of the USA and perhaps the rest of the world and provinces on Saturn.

When this even occurs, we will lose all electrical power for a period of time, perhaps indefinitely. It is my belief that during this time, without electricity our nation's chemical plants and bio research facilities will have nothing to contain the deadly poisons that are housed within their walls. The escaping toxins will not only kill the living, but will turn them into mindless zombies. This my friends is the impending Zombie Wars.

As such, I thought it appropriate, nay, "necessary and proper" that in this coming post apocalyptic zombie infested world that we will have to live in, that we will need a solid plan of survival. Please feel free to use this thread for such purpose.


As for me, weapons wise I am in the gathering stage, but if it were to happen now, then I would be good I think.

• SAIGA .308 Win semi-automatic
• Lever action 30/30 Marlin rifle
• Mossberg 500 5+1 12 gauge shotgun (for extra splattering)
• .45 ACP Springfield Mil Spec pistol
• .38 special (this is my backup)
• access to a chemical engineer who can "make certain things."
• big ol Bowie Knife.

Case of Wild Turkey
Case of Jack Daniels
Case of Johnny Walker Scotch, Black Label
Hip Flask (this is MY back-up)
Dirt on and access to high level politician, this for survival

10" survival Knife.
First shotgun I can get my hands on.
Steel Flask.
Zip Lock bags.
200 Cigarettes.

Give me that and I'm ready for anything.

Trade all that for a PS3 controller and it ain't even a problem anymore :-D

 

If it were to happen now, I think I would be in trouble. Need alot more ammo than I have. Would need a few hundred boxes of 30-06 and 30-30 as well as 12ga., 16ga. and 20ga., and several THOUSAND boxes of 9mm. Might a well throw in a couple hundred boxes for the .22's and the .22 mag. :major

Would use the 30-06 and 30-30 to try and tag them when they are at a distance away, but if they do get close, then it would be all shotgun, with the handguns being used when it comes time to reload the shotguns

Another addition would be some slow moving "friends" to be used as either bait or diversions. :-D

A super-soaker filled with some form of petrol might come in handy as well as a machete, just in case they do slip by your defenses. rolleyes

My Wife and I play alot of the Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 video game. Good practice.

This is only MY opinion, but it appears that someone has been watching too many George Romero movies!! You know, like 'Night of the Living Dead,' Dawn of the Dead,' etc. However, just in case, I have on order an M1 Abrams with air conditioning, full bath, computer, TV, and will be nuclear powered. Well, I got ArF, and Jesus. (AR-15 .223 and 12 Guage tactical)
Ammo. Lots of ammo. :-D UPS is bringing me a box today!
30/30 Rifle Check.
Shelter, hmm, I need to setup my tent, and see if I still have all the parts...
.40 Glock for backup, .25 mouse gun for backup backup. And a sword if those fail..
Group of like minded and well equipped friends. Check.
Healthy supply of beer, Jack Daniels, Scotch, and wine.
We can take anything else we need from the gun control folks. :-D
