Crysis Sky....

Hey,

whenever I play Crysis Wars and I join or create a match the sky and some other objects have really bright colors, sometimes if I'm outside in the game the screen goes white and I can partially see the gun.

Might seem like a silly simple fix, but have you adjusted your gamma in game? Lowering it will possibly take that glare-like effect away.

 

Yeah, It probably it just a simple fix. also I haven't changed the gamma settings but its not really glare.....more a.....super nova of light, that only happens sometimes. Its mainly just the clouds that annoy me since they are bright colors and they get to distracting In a match

 

I thought of the gamma because I had a similar problem at one point where in one particular game, anytime I walked into a room with white floors you couldn't see much of anything on the ground, or any detail of the floor. It took some gimmicking around with the gamma and brightness setting to make it playable.

One other thing is to make sure your graphics drivers are up to date if you haven't checked lately. If the supernova effect you mentioned isn't consistent, i.e. a particular object, like the clouds, go crazy on you one minute and are perfectly normal the next, then it probably is a rendering issue.

 

If you're going to update the drivers, update DirectX while you're at it as well.
