Recently picked up a Evo Labs 2 Bay Black Micro ATX PC Case 450W PSU to go with my Denver Plus 11 MB.

Screwed down the MB, attached all the leads.. put the HDD in, RAM & the PCI cards.

Hit power on.. and flicked the PSU power switch on.

Nothing happened. No lights or any movement, no fans moving. Checked the wall plugs, tried diff power cables. I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.

The only things different with this new case is obv PSU but also the fan has been changed.. the new fan goes direct to the PSU rather than the CPU. I dunno if that could be to do with anything... do fans stop PC's turning on?. Where could I be going wrong?

Thx 4 any help in adv.

Also with the power switch leads - it's white lead negative & coloured lead positive right?

    Black negative, coloured positive.

Make sure your power switch is in correctly before we start troubleshoting anything.

my power switch connector wires are blue & white. Is that white negative blue positive?

It doesn't actually make any difference with the power switch.

The power switch lead is now definitely working.. when I turn it on, the fans spin for a brief second or two then stop. No other noises or beeps.

hmm, oh right sorry! My fault, confusing you with someone else!

This may sound silly, but are you 100% sure that everything is in the right place, as in cables? Especially the 4/8 pin cpu and the 20/24 pin MB connection?

yep, checked 100 times. The power leads are definitely in the right place. The RAM is slotted in perfectly. I even took out all the non-essentials. What i'm thinking is perhaps the PSU isn't providing enough power. I have 450w PSU but perhaps that's not enough to power my quadcore p4 and denver 11 plus MB. Could that be the issue?

    Probly a bad PSU

    Should be enough power

IF you are using the PSU that came with the case they are usually low end and low quality.
