Yeah, congrats on the promotion:celebrate Of course now that you have reached 'Major' status you do realize that your monthly dues have increased by 50% and even though the dues have increased, you still can NOT use the officers bathroom on the 6th floor!! However, they do keep the 'Major' outhouses pretty clean:-D Nor are you eligible for a company car, expense account, or kitchen priviledges. However, we do have access to the coffee pot from 6 AM till 6:15 AM, but after those 4 cups are gone, you need to bring your own thermos!! Aren't promotions great??!!roflmao

And yeah I'm good, got a job interview this morning, just for store work but it's money if I get it. Aparently it's a "Group Interview" , never been to one of those before.... mind you, I've only ever been for 1 interview before :-D
I've read that I'm supposed to be nervous.... but it's too early in the morning, so maybe if I'm feeling energentic I'll start being nervous in a little while :-D

Well it seemed to go well, 3 other candidates there, a woman maybe in her late 30's, very pleasant but extremely shy, another more mature lady , well dressed and assertive and a young lad who quite obviously read the "Interviews for Dummies" book cover to cover since his replies were very textbook and corny lol, now I guess it's a waiting game.
I either get it or I don't, for now..... back to enjoying the free time unemployment offers :-D

 

My interviews did involve sharp instruments being a florist. LOL

Must have done something right, I got a call a little while ago, they want me to go in monday for a half day on the floor, I'm guessing that means that unless I do something silly on monday then I got it :hyper
Having said that I don't count on things, stopped putting all my eggs in one basket because every basket I have has bloody holes in it :-D

And of course I think I did well, I just acted normally (for me anyway lol) , I generally make a good impression wherever I go and whoever I speak to... in person anyway lol, people don't come much more laid back and honest than me.. get that from my dad, get my argumentative nature from my mum :-D

I'm sorry, I didn't see your new avatar until now... I loved that show. The jokes sadly have not aged as well as some other comedies, but overall it was a hilarious comedy series. It actually had a good last episode and ended on a funny good note. That's very rare for TV shows that have been going for at long as that one did.

I've been thrown a curve ball, I've just received an email telling me about a different job I would probably enjoy more and probably (almost definitely) earn more money in and in all likelyhood would get it because it's right up my alley.
Electronics sales, furniture as well but electronics... like TV's and.... stuff.

I have applied, this leaves me with a possible dilemma.

On monday I could very well be offered the job I'm trailing in. So what happens if I take the job and THEN get offered an interview and possibly the other job?

I'm not good at this job market thing, I don't like letting people down, so I see it could possibly go this way.

Start new job.
Week later get offered other job.

Then what?
Quit my new job after a week? thats not really how I roll, but then do I stay in the first job and whine about what I'm missing out on or do I let down the nice people at new job and take the selfish road to the place with lots of TV's?

Well crap, I always got the job I didn't want. What a bummer decision to make. Although sales are kinda iffy now with the economy. Stores are closing, downsizing, except Walmart.

 

Well both are sales jobs and both are stores that have continued to thrive even through recent times, although the electronics store thing is less established so your point would be more acurately directed at that one.
Also it's commision ontop of a wage and a couple of people have told me that most places like that pay under minimum wage if commision is involved.
I dunno, I just want a nice little job , 5 days per week, start at 11am, lunch at 12pm for an hour and finish at 2pm at a pay rate of $65 per hour :-D

I think I might just hold onto whatever I get first, I'm not planning on staying at any of them for a long period of time, I just have to pay the bills and get back on track so I can look into some form of qualification course.

Any youngsters reading this, get your education while you are still young!! because doing it once you have a family is bloody hard work. And I havn't even found something to study yet lol
Trust me, work hard while you're young and have less resposibilities and you will help yourself greatly in later life.
