Tomorrow is adoption day!

For those of you who remember the saga of my niece and her foster kids...we've finally made it! :-D

For those who don't, it was an ugly nasty horrible thing, but nothing ever ended up coming of it. Not that we still aren't wary, but the time has come and gone when their biological father should have been a problem. :-D

Tomorrow morning our kids will be OURS, legally and forever always, with no strings attached! They even get new birth certificates (but yes, we will be keeping a copy of their originals). These are our (now) HAPPY, HEALTHY new additions! Evie is four, Isaiah is three, and Alisiana is 17 months. :-D

Hi Sgt. Tibbs, that is just FANTASTICK! :celebrate They are all beautiful, and look very happy too. Thank you for sharing the pix. Now, we can enjoy and :celebrate with you:wave I, for one, am soooo glad it all turned out well for everyone! What a beautiful and HAPPY family!

Thank you all! Y'all have been through almost this whole thing with us, and it brings tears to my eyes knowing that basically complete strangers are this supportive not just of someone y'all barely know but my family as well.

Court was fun! Who knew that the judge signing the official paperwork has known the kids longer than we have? He's been "their" judge since well before Alisiana was born. And there was NO mistaking the grin he had looking at the gathering to see this happen! Apparently, it means even more to him that we were all there than the fact that they passed all the tests and other stuff with flying colours. :-D He mentioned the fact that it is obvious that not only the court system but the family is behind this 110%, and that he is impressed and amazed at their fortitude and willingness to open their home and hearts to three children less than two years after their marriage (it was 18 months a couple of weeks ago that they got married, which means they took in three kids 6 months after the marriage). AND, the kids got to bang the gavel for themselves (he invited the whole family up behind the bench to do it), after which he came down and posed for pictures with them. :-D Too much fun!

Wow. I can't stop grinning, and tearing up, and then giggling like mad. THEY'RE OURS!!!! :-D :-D :-D

 

Didn't you say that the Judge posed for some pictures?
Don't know about anybody else, but I would like to see the kind-hearted humanitarian.

Congrats on finally winning and getting those kids. I am sure that they are in a definantly better place now then once was. And I just hope nothing but a great future with them and your family. And just hope that everybody including you stay healthy till were all 110 years old.

 

Yup, there are pictures. My niece has them in her camera, so I have to wait until she gets around to posting them on Facebook so I can steal them. LOL

 

Sounds like a real credit to the Judicial system.

Seconded. And while I agree with Fred that kids in general are obnoxious and disgusting, I have never thought that was a valid excuse not to care for the ones no one else was willing to care for.

It sounds to me as if these three are going to be alright. If those pictures are any indication, their new parents obviously love them and love caring for them. They'll do okay. Well done Tibbs,and the rest of your family. You get brownie points.

 

Wonderful, wonderful news. The pictures are adorable. I am so happy for all of you, but mainly the kids to be in a home with parents who love them.

 

Took her a while, but...pictures! :-D There are more, but I feel like hell and don't have the ability to sit upright long enough. These are the best two, though.
