PROBLEM: Internet loading/connection is either great...or it sucks and pages freeze, error "can not load"...I hit F5 few times...and then BANG...it'll work. Totally intermittent and inconsistent. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad.
Been about a month with this problem.
Running on a HP Pavillion 2G RAM w/Dual Core Proc Vista 32 Bit
I have done a complete format reinstall and still have problem.
Performed all the steps in thread "Malware Removal Guide"..see attached. It did not return any visible errors or threats on all the scans. I don't know how to read the drivers report.
Internet connection is fine, cause my wife's laptop has no problems, only my home PC connected via LAN. I tried running my home PC via wireless and same problem.
I didn't attach virus and mal scan because they both came back clean.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Your logs are all clean, so it is unlikely you are having malware problems. It may however be due to what you have installed on your PC. I suggest you start by uninstalling the below in the order listed and after each one is uninstalled reboot (don't skip), see what happens to your internet problems:

    • Spyware Doctor - ( if this is just a free trial, you should not have it installed anyway especially since you have Windows Defender, Outpost and Avast running )
    • Outpost Firewall
    • Avast
Also unrelated to the above, uninstall the below as requested in the READ & RUN ME:
    • Ask Toolbar
    • Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 1

    Thanks for your tips.
I have done everything which has been recommended. I still have this lame internet loading/surfing. I think it might be time for a new computer cause I am totally stumped and have no idea what to do.
    It could possibly be hardware?

Did you really uninstall ( not just disable ) and then reboot both Avast and Outpost and check? If yes, and you still had the problem, try rebooting your router, cable or DSL modem, etc (anything in between your PC and the internet) and see what happens. Also, if do you have another PC or can you borrow one just to test to see if it displays the same problem. Or you could also try your PC on another persons connection just to see if the problem follows your PC.

What browser are you using? Try a different one and see what happens.
