For the past week my pc has been crashing about 3 times a day usually when I am watching a dvd or playing a game such as Unreal Tournament 3. It then restarts and says "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown". The PC then lists these details:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 2057

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 116
    BCP1: FFFFFA8005A474E0
    BCP2: FFFFFA6002D24D50
    BCP3: FFFFFFFFC00000B5
    BCP4: 000000000000000A
    OS Version: 6_0_6002
    Service Pack: 2_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini042910-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Wayne\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-332500-0.sysdata.xml
    C:\Users\Wayne\AppData\Local\Temp\WER16BA.tmp.version.txt

I would appreciate it if someone could take a look at the .dmp file that I have attached and then get back to me with the problem and possibly a solution.

    Thanks a lot :D

When was the last time you clean out the inside of your computer case?

Your temperatures look normal, but I assume you took those at idle rather than whilst playing a game.

I have only had my PC 6 months but I have never cleaned out the inside of the computer case.

Sorry for jumping in here, Get a can of air maybe at the local Walmart and give the inside of your PC a good cleaning, Ive only had my Pc for less than 2 - 3 months and Ive already cleaned it several times as it accumulates lots of dust.

With it crashing under load I would check the CPU heatsink and fan (you may want to remove heatsink and check/reapply compound), and check the video card to make sure it's fan (if it has one) is working.
    Reseat your memory as well.

Sounds like something isn't handling the stress of video playback & gaming. If it's working OK doing normal work (web surfing, email, etc) I'd guess one the components (CPU, vid card or memory) may be getting too hot.

I think your temps are quite high, as below, look into cleaning your case out, and maybe even look into buying an extra case fan, if you have any space in the case.

From the specs, the max operating temperature for that CPU is 71.4C. The OP is right at that and it is easily conceivable that it is going over that, depending on the usage.
So yes, either a good cleaning or a tune on the heat sink paste, with cleaning and a fan check first.:wave:wave

I have cleaned the case out and found that it was very dusty. However I was using the unreal tournament editor and it has happened again.

P.S Did anyone manage to take a look at the .dmp file for me because I don't know how to do this myself.

    Thanks

Are you comfortable working on computers or do you have a buddy who is? Things like the CPU heatsink , heatsink on the GPU (video card), fans, seating of memory and cards do need to be checked so they can be ruled out as a cause.
