Good Morning!!

Hi guys and gals! Well, it appears that that artery, the one in back of the heart, was not as strong as my heart doc thought it was. It started leaking and I had a heart attack and if it wouldn't have been for AMR's quick response I'm afraid that MGs would have become 'Stubbyless!' I joke about it now, because it's over and I'm slowly becoming 'normal' again. Prior to all of this, my cardiologist performed all sorts of tests and they showed that that artery wasn't leaking, but all of a sudden it did. I guess that just goes to show you that no matter how well things seem to be going, there is always something standing in the wings and ready to throw a monkey wrench into the mix!!:-D

Man, I've only been gone for a little while and in my absence MGs has gained more 'Majors' now than the entire Marine Corps!! Congrats to all of you and I'm glad that you were all able to 'spam' your way to the top!!:-D I also noticed that I missed a LOT of birthdays, sorry about that! However, I noticed that TeeCee had them all pretty well covered!! Now, for the biggie....I noticed that the 'Hot Topics' Forum has gone the way of the DoDo, or is that 'DooDoo,'? Well, no matter, except now I have no place to go and start stuff!! Man, what a bummer!!:cry Still, I can see why it had to go, because things tended to get somewhat out of hand down there at times.

One last thing before I bore you all to death! TeeCee, I did receive your letter but haven't been able to do it yet. However, I should be able to drive by next week and if that won't be too late, I can do it then, is that okay?? Speaking of 'okay,' how's the hubby doing Nurse Rachet?? Great I hope!!

Yeah Augie, that's what my surgeon called it. And yeah, I do consider myself darn lucky!! He explained that when it ruptured, it didn't 'blow out' completely but rather leaked profusely giving the impression of a heart attack, which actually it was, but not in the normal sense. Does that make sense:confused When I woke up in ICU I remember the nurses telling me how lucky I was and I didn't really realize what they were talking about, but once the doc explained actually what it meant, then I understood. Oh well, I'm back and ready to get a 'good' discussion going!! Hey Rikky, where are you??roflmao

Hey Stubby! Missed you around here. So glad to hear you are on the mend. My Dad had pretty much the same thing happen to him in December, but he is slowly getting better, too.

Yes, you are one LUCKY man, for sure. Do as they say, and take your meds. I hear ya, they can do miracles, for sure . A good surgeon is worth his weight in gold, I mean that.

Nurse Ratchet had to assert her authority a few times.. No problem with the Dr., but the pharmacist thinks HE has a MD behind HIS name. Had to go a few rounds with him. I WON! :-D

He is doing one day at a time. He didn't have a heart attack, tho, but his electrical unit of his heart was shutting down.. Pacemaker took care of that... I do know of one other guy that went thru what you did, Stubby. And, you made it thru. You hang in there, and take yoru meds!

Here, this might help ya feel better! Even if ya can't eat it, this one has NO CALORIES or bad stuff in it! :-D

Actually, I don't know why I thanked you!! Don't get me wrong, I DO appreciate the cake but, as Hrlow2 said, once Tim gets a whiff of it...IT'S GONE!!roflmao Oh well, it's the thought that counts!!! I'm glad to hear that your Hubby is doing good and, as for the pharmacist, well the fact that you won comes as no surprise to me:-D After all, Nurse Rachet DOES have a reputation to uphold:boxing

Yeah, gotta keep an eye on drugs, and such, and although I won this round, I still would like to get my hands around ONE particular pharmacist... They seem to think THEY have an MD behind their name.. and can tell teh DR. what to do.. Not a good mix. :boxing
