I have a GeForce 9600 GSO video card that I had been using for about a year. I had trouble with it running hot, so I took the cover off and dusted out my computer with a can of spray air. Everything worked fine after that and the temps went down. One day, my monitor kept shutting itself off and going to power save mode. After trying many things, I plugged the monitor into the mother board graphics and it worked. My computer has not recognized my video since. Fan works on the video card. Device manager will not recognize video card. I have reseated it, dusted it out, everything I can think of. I would try and change the card in the bios, but it won't even recognize it in device manager. What am I doing wrong or is the card fried?

If you have access to another computer you can try seeing if the video card works in that computer. Video cards do die (usually from running hot) and trying it in another computer will verify if it's dead or alive.
