Any Alganon players here?

I'm playing the demo right now, and I like it. I'm thinking about buying the game, but I'm a bit confused since I'm finding conflicting info on their revenue model. On one hand, it's telling me that I only pay $20 for the game and then it's free with no subscription fees, like Guild Wars. Then I see another source claiming it's free, but with micro-transactions/cash shop.

Huh? :confused

If anyone here is playing the game and can help me get this straight, I'd really appreciate it. I just want to know what I'm getting into before plonking down the money for a new MMO.

 

I was able to find out, after excessive googling, that it uses both. You pay for the client, and then the game is free and has a cash shop as well. Just in case anyone else wants to know.

 

hmm might check it out.. Been looking for a new rpg to play since I have pretty much done everything possible in Dragon Age and its expansion and DL content
