Slow Boot Up

    Hi,
    My computer(Windows XP SP3) recently was infected by New Folder Virus through an USB memory card which I removed manually.Previously the PC booted in no time.Now it takes eons at Windows Logo screen inspite of running all the tests.Please check my log files.

    The only thing I am seeing in your logs is this, which I can't explain:

    Total Physical Memory    512.00 MB    
Available Physical Memory    599.79 MB
    Your available memory can't be more than your physical memory. What do you actually have installed?

    It is just a bug in Microsoft's msinfo32 program. Somtimes it shows incorrect information. The ComboFix log shows over 600 MB free. ComboFix actually shows 1015.678 which indicates the PC has 1 GB total and about 678 MB currently free.

    In cases like this you could also ask how much memory is installed or use a different system info type program. ;)


    You may even want to run a memory test to make sure that all memory is good.

    You did have a keylogger that was removed by the scans, but I am not seeing any other malware in your logs. Perhaps you should try doing an online scan:

    Using BitDefender Online Scan.
