    Alexis has her bartending license and is going to apply at a prestigious hotel near the Clinton Library. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that she can get it!! She needs the income to help her get though her last year or so of college!! ( And to keep her out of the house!!! roflmao ).

    Can she fix a Whiskey Sour? No, I'm not 80, but I love them. Having one now in fact. :-D If she can, can you get me the recipe for one that isn't made from a powder? heh

    We make it with whiskey/bourbon, frozen lemonade concentrate, water and sugar.

    Now, what she can make these days are drinks with names that are not allowed on a PG13 site!! Far beyond a fuzzy navel. :-D:-D

    I have a 26 year old sister. I know these drinks! LOL

    The funniest is they serve them in a martini glass and charge $12 for basically fruit juice, some liquor, and if your lucky a half a shot of vodka. But they have dirty names so they all buy them. :-D

    She will try to get down to apply tomorrow. Apparently, the guy that runs the course was called by them looking for someone and he was going to suggest Ali. We are seriously hoping and praying for her to get the position. Beats the hell out of the local VFW!!

    She has a minimum of 190 drinks memorized. The old stand-bys as well as all the new drinks aimed at getting the guys date seriously polluted!! LOL

    Oh, Laura! roflmao roflmao I hear ya, and I am sure today, they have so much LESS liquor in them than years ago! I used to drink the slow-gin-fizz, and darn, that really snuck up on ya. I'll bet the have to drink a LOT more now to get that effect. LOL I have heard too, of "liquor-laced jello" too. They had some name for it, like 'Jello-shots" I think. Can't imagine eating that. rolleyes

    Oh, goodness, Tim! "getting the guys date seriously polluted!!" Seriously, hope she gets it! :)

    Jello-shots are old hat. Even older was when we use to inject vodka into watermelons!! But these newer drinks are usually a combination of three or more liquors. They don't sneak up on you, they hit you with a hammer!!! Hehehee.ee....

    When my wife and I would go out, she would always order some exotic drink and no matter where we were, it didn't taste like the last one she had.

    I would tell her that's why I drink beer. A beer always tastes like a beer. :drink

    Unless you get a bad draught and it is skunky.

    WooHoo!!!! She got the job!!! They are aware of her school schedule and she will work Monday and Wednesday evenings plus the weekends. No formal dress code, slacks and a shirt. Come August, when band starts again, she will just work weekends!! Cha ching!!! :-D:-D
