GMail password

help! i dont remember my gmail password and i did all their password help stuff but no luck. so then i go to:

but it ask for a email address but i cant put the one where i forgot the password and there's no place to put an alternate AND the forgotten password one... gotta love gmail "tech support"

 

Step 1) Go create a second e-mail address somewhere like Yahoo and use that in the "e-mail address" box. They're only looking for an alternate way to contact you, and you can set up an e-mail just for that.

[Even though it only takes about 45 seconds, if for some reason you don't want to go through the trouble of registering, you could always use a service like mailinator.com or pourri.fr to quickly generate a web inbox specifically for the one e-mail you're waiting on from Google.]

Step 2) Go back to that link, click "No" and fill out the form. Wait for a reply from Google.

 

Did you try the directions in the link at the top of the page?
It says" If you've already tried to reset your password....."
The" reset your password " is a link (different color) to a different page. Should be OK if you remember the name on the account.
