In that case, the ref who sent off Kaka yesterday should be banned from refereeing another match. Ever.
That's the most laughable decision I've ever seen.
Oh, and ban Keita too. Funking cheat.
Even watching the US v Slovenia game in real time I could see Edu's goal was perfectly OK.
As was stated earlier, review technology needs to be introduced into football. This has been going on for far too long, now.

As a war baby (1943) born and bred in England, I can't wait for our lot coming home, all broadcasting is full of Football, Election (over now) and hairshirt budget so we can pay back our losses due to US banks lending to House developers with no money or jobs.

It is all too much, going out now in lovely summer sun and feed the ducks on the river Thames whilst listening to Buddy Holley! I have some 78's of his bought when he was alive, pity they don't fit the CD slot, but have reburnt them without messing about with the balances etc and NO compression, it brings back the oomph.

 

The French thing is just funny really (to an Englishman :-D )
The England team, after thier performance so far I don't think we even deserve a slot in the next round and even if we do perform a miracle , if we keep playing like we have been we'll get trounced in the next round anyway.

 

OMG! That was arse nipping time. England thoroughly deserved the win. It was such a better performance, they looked like a different team. Milner and Terry were immense. Rooney looked more like himself, but the star turn was again the referee, who made some baffling decisions. He booked Glenn Johnson for falling down after he got an elbow in the head from behind, but let some dubious tackles go without a caution. He was, of course, German.

Didn't see the USA game as it kicked off at the same time as the England match. I am so happy for the American contingent that they are through to the knockout stages. It makes for a more.......competitive tournament if both teams progress to the latter stages. Going to get harder now.

And even though I hate when US wins :-D it's good to see them advance, they do deserve it, more than England do this time round... but hey... we made it boys! So now we can all start singing "It's coming home" again :-D

Just watched the highlights of Englands match yesterday, got to hand it to the Slovanian keeper, could easily have been 4 or 5 -0.
Rooney hitting the post, that boy has got to get his game on now, no more second chances.

We shouldn't look at it so harshly, we have had a long history with Germany and a fairly even one, it's not like they have walked over us every time, if we bring our game to them then I am confident we can advance, if we play like we did in the first 2 matches then England cup run is over.

I often wonder if we didn't have such great supporters would our team do better?

It must be hard hearing all those people singing knowing they are right there watching,just hearing them sing gets my heart rate up and I'm at home chilling on the sofa.

Must be good if the players are feeling tired tough!

Well, compared to the last cup there was a lot less diving. Hey, both are through to the next round anyways and they just went through the motions. My Brazilian friend said it sucked so bad that he refused to watch it after the first half. :-D

 

Italy, France out, Germany out on Sunday. The way is clear for an England World Cup win. Argies owe us big time. When we play them in the quarters, I hope we beat them by a Rooney hand ball.
