Help formatting a pendrive needed

    hey i'm new here.i need some help,
    i have a problem in formating my pendrive using run in the start up programs

    Can you be more specific? If you right click on the drive from Explorer, are you given an option to format?

    Sounds like you're trying to do a DOS format of the pendrive.
    DON'T DO THAT!

    Pull the pen drive up in 'My Computer' and right click on it.
    Then in the drop down menu, select "Format" and go from there, following the on-screen prompts.

    HP also put out a nice little utility program for Formatting Pen Drives (Flash Drives). You can download it here, just or ease of access.

    I used this in May to format a 4GB USB drive I had a problem with.
    The drive is now usable again.
