DOS to Windows conversion

Hi,
I have an excellent Dos database program that I have used for ages, can I run Dos under win 7, or can I get someone to convert it into a win program.

any idea on the name of the game? We can't look up any specs of the game without the name. Some games can be run with a previous version of windows, but DOS is a more intense question.

 

I think the only way you can run this program is with a DOS emulator. Googling 'DOS emulator' throws up a lot of results, but I can't recommend any particular one as I've never tried any of them.

This program is not a game it's a database for recording my record collection, what I realy want is the program rewritten as a windows program.

Outside of running it in an emulator, yuou might try Google since you don't seem concerened with entering the data into a new program.

You could hire a programmer from planetsourcecode, but I am sure there have been many programs that handle collections already written.

There are lots of programs available but they try to be too clever trying to download info on items that you enter, mine is so simple, I think I'll try rentacoder.

I can't believe you are hanging on to some old DOS program simply for a music collection, never mind wanting it rewritten for Windows. Have you actually ever checked out what Windows Media Player can do for you? :zzz
