.VOB files to a DVD

Hello,

I have video files in .VOB format and am having a difficult time burning them to watchable DVD. I found some software here that easily burned the .VOBs to a DVD, but it only burned the files over - it didn't create a watchable DVD. I also tried "DVD flick", but that didn't work either.

All I'm trying to do is put these .VOB files on a disc and watch them on a standard DVD player. There *has* to be something out there that will accomplish this realatively simply. Thanks for any assistance!

 

Try using CDburnerXP that might work for you. and also its free you can download it here from majorgeeks.

My apologies though. The files I have are actually AVI files. The software burned them to a DVD+R without a problem, but only as AVI files, which won't play in a standard DVD player. Do I need to convert the AVIs to VOBs and then burn them to a DVD+R for this to work?

 

To convert those .AVI files you would need to use DVD Flick. It will also burn the rendered files to a DVD. Just follow the directions.

You could use nero burning program they convert them automatically to work on a DVD player.

DVD Flick did the trick. It took forever, but it finally worked.

BTW Andy, before I even asked for help in this forum, I tried it with Nero Express 6 but kept getting errors during the encoding.
