Ouch, that hurts too! Hope to cheer you up a little by watching this smart Belg parking his car in his garage. He speaks Dutch though. Perhaps your wife can take some driving lessons from him? :-D Here's the link:

That is the best parking i have seen.
I am not sure i would want to try that, i think the car would have to stand in the straat.

I agree Bill, definitely the best parking and smart too. Who would have thought to glue sponges across the wall so the car doesn't get scratched or dented? Considering the guy is in his eighties, way :cool

I have hunt two old carpets on the walls of my garage so that if you open the door a bit too far it does not chip the paint.

What an amazing constitution you must have Bill to tolerate ongoing for so long, everything that's been dealt to you. Your body is really being pushed in so many ways...I hope things will soon be satisfactorily resolved in the best way possible for you.

You certainly have earned your "Bionic Belgium" title:)

    Cheers

Thank you for your thoughts but the saga has not ended yet.

I swear to god what i am about to write is the honest truth.

I have just arrived home (about 2 hours ago) from the latest stint in hospital (10 days) my body is trying to kill me, 10 days ago i got out of bed feeling really rough so my wife checked my temp 103.2F :eek so the doc was duly called, he arrived about 20 min later checked that she had the right temp and yes it was still 103, he drew some blood and took it himself to the lab, waited for the results then called the ambulance to my home, the took me to the ER, they started doing all sorts of tests and at some stage i passed out, woke up in a bed in the Intensive care.
I have found out since that my blood turned toxic and was poisoning all my organs so i had Gallbladder failure, liver failure, kidney failure and on top of that double pneumonia so all in all in a pretty bad state.

For 4 days i knew nothing of what was happening but they were filling me with drugs,i spent 10 days in there and lost 30lbs but they finally beat it and i am here to tell the tale.
I am very weak and am still on some pretty strong meds but i am at home and happy about that.

I just read my E-Mails and that's it now for today so see yall.

    Bill

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the good wishes.
I know i am still sick but it feels great to be in my own house and bed with she who must be obeyed(my lovely wife)

It is an ongoing investigation as to what turned the blood toxic, there have been suggestions it could be some of the metalwork i have inside.

There was a moment that i felt really sorry for my self until the young woman in the next ICU unit spoke to me, she is 31 years old and has terminal cancer, that makes mine seem trivial.

    Thanks again
    Bill

To acknowledge your wife also Bill, I'm sure she has had quite a few scares. Strong loving woman, your a lucky man as I am with my Dan, without I would have been gone long ago.

While I certainly feel for this woman and for her family, don't for a moment think that just because someone else might be suffering more, your suffering is somehow less valid.

Pain is pain and it is not quantifiable, when something hurts it hurts and that's the end of it. Handle it with dignity and don't milk it (not that I can imagine you ever doing that!), but don't ever let anyone diminish your pain just because someone else is hurting "more".

This happened to a friend of mine too. She was in the shower and home alone when it happened. She call 911 and asked it they could send a female as she didn't have on any clothes. To make matters worse, the bathroom door was locked and the hinges were on the inside. I never asked her how they got in. She is on her third hip replacement.
