Is there an easier way to open and/or edit the Hosts file in Windows 7?

Since it doesn't have a file extension, I can't set a default program to open it with, I have to select Notepad (actually Notepad2, in my case) from a list of programs EVERY time to open and edit it.

Your very welcome mcsmc, I think so too, saves the hassle of opening HOSTS via an elevated Notepad, But that little app does a few other things that just make it that bit more useful package,
