Weirdly thinking how can they state no animals where harmed in the making of this product.

So if you freeze beer, the alcohol seperates out? Have to give that a try.
Course a 12 oz. can of MGD, at 5%, would yield on .6 oz.

Then I'd have to go and find a dead mouse.

Puts a whole new meaning to the phrase:

Boy was I skunked last night.

I need a little hair of the dog.

See, this is why we forgive you all your bad jokes and lame semi-sexist slurs... because every once in a while you produce a gem like that. LOL

(Note for the members of our audience too stupid to understand sarcasm: Rikky is not actually a sexist. He just has a strange sense of humor :p)

LOL Rikky, don't you mean PDTA (People Drinking Tasty Ale)? You can't eat those critters, and People Eating Tasty Animals would probably expect a stew for those critters. :-D

I have had some 9% and I think some 11% beer, but 55%, at that price... Don't think so. We have a wonderful thing called Whiskey. Irish, Scotch, American... And a nice bottle is a whole lot cheaper.

They would have a hell of a time selling that around here. If it is over 5.5% (I think), it must be called Malt Liquor, at that proof, not sure how it would be classified tax wise. :confused Yeah, they base part of the tax on the proof...

Not to mention the contents are much tastier.... :wine <- 18-year old Glenlivet in glass :)

Nice Mimsy, I have had some 16 year old Tomintoul. Love Scotch, but my taste have outpaced my income in that regard... Sheep Dip is a nice affordable one if you see it.

I've sen Sheep Dip in the local stores, I'll have to try it out. Is it smokey, peat-ish, sharp...?

The Glenlivet was a surprise gift from The Guy a couple of weeks ago, I usually won't spend that much on a scotch myself. The whole cost vs income issue... :)

Sheep Dip is very smooth to me. Not a whole lot of peat or smoke, but it has some. To me it is a great deal for the $. I usually just buy scotch when we get closeout deals... Can't afford what I like at full price. :-D I will be getting a bottle of Sheep Dip soon.

Just been too hot around here for Scotch. I have a Jon Mark and Robo Spicy Scotch I am waiting to try when it cools off, or I get in the mood for Scotch. :cool

Strange how i haven't replied in this thread yet being an avid beer drinker. Like Fred, I've had the %11 and actually very tasty, but puts one on their butt. %55 is just insane and at that price, you can forget it.

Ya on the expensive Scotch here too.:cry I want to try a Canadian malt beverage(can't call it Scotch) but @ $83 for an 8 year old 750ml bottle, I don't know. I have heard good things about it though. Glen Breton Rare

Yikes Augie, that is some steep $ for a 750ml. I think the Sheep Dip is in the low $20's. As hot as it has been lately, I would rather have a cold beer, nice Martini, or some white wine. Will be looking more at Scotch this fall. :cool

Smooth definitely works. When done well and it's actually rich and complex with smoothness, and not just lack of flavors trying to act like smoothness, it's outstanding. Like a Bowmore... :)

I saw that post! At first I was a bit surprised that my quotes had moved into a different thread, but I quickly realized that my outstanding forum super-powers must have made my words move to a new thread so that more would see them. Which of course made perfect sense.

I know how you feel Mimsy. Sometimes my posts are so good, I click on 'edit' and my mad super skills decide I should quote myself. :-D

And why not? If you said something wise and insightful, it should be quoted for good measure, right? :p

Well yeah, but the 'Mods' get picky sometimes. :-D No offense to the Mods, you are probably too busy to understand the greatness. roflmao
