Just moved your question to its own thread (a thread is a question with answers that are called posts)

You sadly dont open this file yourself, its a DLL which is a Dynamic Linked Library file, it allows other files to chat to each other.

So to best get an idea of why you ned this file, what issues are you having? is it hat you have a message stating this file is missing?

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using as this is a file for Windows XP, other windows files maybe different versions? to find out what Windows version and Service Pack you have Right Click My Computer and choose Properties.

but you could try unzipping the folder, right click and choose Extract All then open the unzipped/extracted folder and righ click and copy the pdh.dll file

then goto this location, C:\Windows\System32 and right click in a blank area and choose paste to paste the file

Then to activate the file, click Start > Run and type regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\pdh.dll (do note a space between 2 and C) and hit enter


But to best get an idea of what you are trying to achieve please describe the issue you are having with your PC and Windows?

Cheers for the info and try the below

also uninstall and re-download latest version of Skype and re-install as sometimes a download can be corrupt and not install correctly

 

Closed as some members using the attached DLL for different Windows versions, the one attached is for XP, if you have Vista or Windows 7 then do please start a new thread and give us information like your Windows version, the version of Skype and any error messages that are shown on screen,
