I'm cracking the whip to make the ex clean the house for the birthday party tomorrow (since I'm on bed rest) and trying to find a ride to the GD store.

Also, I'm bored out of my mind. And my arms are tired from beating the drum to keep the slaves in sync. ;)

What are you guys doing? Anything fun? :-D

    Hi Wench

Me well, catching up with some new app testing (have 10 to test out), playing with Powerline ethernet networking and linking it to my TV so I can get BBC iPlayer a bit quicker than the WiFi connection, plus allows the laptops and netbook in the house to be connected to ethernet over wifi.

Just taken back a WD MyBook World to a reletive and helped setup the network drive for backups using Acronis True Images scheduling. For my sister managed to get her pictures of her old laptop that was accidently launched down the stairs by one of my neices (cracked LCD screen) , hooked it upto my TV and managed to get into safe mode to allow me to burn off the pics to dvd, wont boot into normal mode so going to DoD file erase the HDD.

Now just reviewing some posts on the forum and looking through the new signup lists for potential spammers, and in a mo off to watch TV for a bit, and have a file called Whiteout I want to watch.

Today I am whiny and irritable and shouldn't be around other people. The Darvocet makes me stupid, but it hurts like mad without it.

Tomorrow, however, is a friend's birthday, so I'm leaving the pills at home and heading out to our local tavern to celebrate with him. That should be lots of fun! :-D

    Woo hoo, now you're ME!!!

Other than the cleaning, I've been playing world of warcraft. Im working on an in game achievement called "Insane in the Membrane" which gives you the title "the insane." There was never a more appropriate title for a person EVAR.

Oustanding! Bring on the party props! :-D

I was at work all day today, up until the point I logged on here and started posting. Plans for the rest of the day include playing with my new nail polish toys, eating dinner at some point in my very near future, and play more video games. :major

I lost my edit button... :)

Another thing I did today was to stop at the Sally Beauty shop near my house (inspired by Abby's links in this thread). I didn't actually buy any foundations of that brand after all, though I did drool and pine for their gorgeous baked bronzers and bright eyeshadows (must return soon to loot the eye shadow display!), and eventually ended up buying a bunch of manicure toys and tools and nail polishes.

While I was picking out little bottles a woman was arguing with the girl behind the counter about returning something. Sally, for those of you not familiar with that store, has a very unforgiving and strict return policy for all electrical items. Never, ever, ever get rid of your Sally receipt if you buy something electrical there. Never. This woman did... she claimed she didn't keep it because she something this expensive should work, so she shouldn't have to keep the receipt. Expecting her to keep it until she had verified that the flatiron works by using it at least once was apparently completely unreasonable. rolleyes

The girl behind the counter politely told her that she can't return the flat iron for refund without a receipt but she can of course get a warranty replacement. The woman doesn't like that and gets rude and irate; the girl stays calm but won't compromise the policy either. F-bombs soon start flying, at which point the girl behind the counter tells the customer to "watch your language, there are other customers in the store". This prompted more f-bombs and even a b-word, at which point the girl very sternly asks the woman to leave the store.

I have now learned, form observation, that the doors at the Sally Beauty store near my house are too high-tech to be slammed, no matter how hard you try. LOL

Let see I spend how I spend my saturday..

I woke up, walked around on my hurt knee (hurt it at the track on friday), got hit on by an creepy man, went home, went to an out door concert, went to a restaurant where ate ice cream, the most delicious chili cheese fries and shared some laughs, went home, cried and watched the end of a movie.. it's been a very eventful day :-D

It's Sunday afternoon in India. Had the cookie prep the kitchen for me. Cooked "Dal makhni" and Tandoori Chicken. While having a screwdriver (or two)! The Dal takes over an hour on slow heat!!
I cheated and cooked the Chicken on an electric barbecue as opposed to a coal tandoor. Then I switched to a couple of Bloody Marys (extra Tabasco, salt and crushed ice) Yum!!

And am now ready to gobble and catch some Zzzzz..

    Cheers.. Hic.. hic

Uhg, just to whine I had another pretty phenominal attack last night, in the middle of the night, that took 3 showers, a bath, tylenol, medicine and all kinds of you don't wanna know what else to feel better...

And yet, I was up at 6:30am wrapping presents and putting together goody bags. I am super mom, RAWR!

Uhg, I hate birthday parties. The children are insane waiting for it, we're insane trying to get ready for it, and then all that nonsense for an hour or two of people eating our food and messing up our house just to have to clean it all up.

She's 10, they stop caring pretty soon or just go to the mall with friends, right?

That sounds like a lot of fun. They had one here not so long ago in Clinton Square, but I wasn't lucky enough to participate.

    I survived the birthday party!
