Real player

I used to be able to download video's ie: Youtube using realplayer. Just mouse over and click on the downld button. But every time I do that now it gives me a message, unable to downld. I have Vista premium operating sys. and Firefox latest edition as a browser. Any ideas?

 

Yes, youtube made some changes that made some video downloaders not function anymore. Got that info from the link below.

Firefox's add-on: VideodownloadHelper fixed it from their side. Here's the link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/

I have above addon for quite a while and am very satisfied with it.

So it's up to Real Player and others like it whether they want to fix it from their end.

I'm using RealPlayer with IE8 and don't have a problem downloading videos from YouTube, using the Download This Video link. Love, love, love the Download This Video link, by the way. You can download just about any movie, music video, etc. So easy!

I'm assuming the RealPlayer "download button" (that you mouse over) that you referred to in your post is the same as the "Download This Video" link that I referred to.

 

Another option one can employ for converting many web videos to .wmv, mp3, and some other mobile device formats is the YouTube Downloader at: http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/

OK, i have the same problem as before. When I hover over say a youtube video wanting to download it w/realplayer, I don't get the download this video option. This happens every time I download the new v. of Real. If say I want to download it with mediaplayer instead, can i?
