Creepy spider - not for the faint of heart!

So I saw this little effer running across the back of my couch (He moves FAST) and I took a brand new pack of CD's and bashed his buggy brains in. (I might have broke one or two)

I thought it was a wolf spider, but on closer inspection it looks more like this picture of a male Hobo Spider. They aren't indigenous to this area, but they've recently been on the move, so it's not impossible that it could be.

My camera just does really really bad on the extreme close ups. What do you think?

 

I checked that first, and their .. crap brainfart.. the roundy part.. is different.

 

What's up with the number of legs?
I count more than there should be.

Baah, so it's a spider. Do you know that there's a spider not a yard from you anywhere on the earth? Well except for the Antarctic.:wave

 

It's the shadow of the legs. Pic 1 is the clearest. And I just wanna make sure it isn't poisonous, because if there are others, I'm getting the house sprayed.

 

All spiders are poisonous. Like snakes, with legs... :-D

 

Its always really nasty/weird moments when you see a some what scary looking thing in your house. Ive posted in a thread about bugs being in houses. And we got house cenepeds(google if you want to) anyways they say they don't get to big but I know I just killed the mother load and it was 5-6 inches including legs. But omg they are bad here and everywhere you look. Bathtub, toilet, wall sitting there, above the pill on the wall was this last one. Nasty little things. Also verrry quick!

 

We have Black Widow spiders in our back yard. Looking into local spraying options...

Got nothin' on a 3 year old without any sense of fear... talk about scary! Still I hate anything with more legs than a dog. If it has more than 4 on the floor, it gets squished. Period

 

i can manage most creepy crawlies, its just spiders that give me the creeps. if i know theres a spider in the room, i will run out with lightning speed and not re-enter the room until it is removed. i daren't squish them incase it survives and becomes attached to my shoe :eek

Do you have a damp basement? or does the building you live in?
They live in dark wet places and can be gotten rid of. If it's someplace you live, I would complain to the landlord and demand an exterminator, if it's your house I'd call one myself. Those things do bite, even if they aren't supposed to.. and they're creepy. My friend had them... nasty lil buggars and lightning quick.

@Kodo - I live in the country between 9 mile creek and an acre and a half of grass and trees. Course it's a grass spider.. But it looks like several different kinds that all unfortunately look nearly identicle, and I just wanted to make sure the damn this isn't poisonous because I have little people

 

An amusing way to kill spiders and time,
Equipment:-
1 Golf ball 1 bathtub and of course 1 spider. Launch golf ball down the side of the tub and see how long it takes to squash the spider
Extra equipment:-
Spray bath cleaner and cloth or tissue
