    Hi

What version of Windows 7 do you have (Starter, Basic, Home Premium, Ultimate etc)?

What is the make and model of your PC? If OEM like Dell, HP what is the model number, if a home build what is the make and model of the motherboard... say ASUS, Gigabyte etc?

In some cases with older PC/Laptops the onboard Intel Graphics chip is not able to run Aero at all. So good way to check this is to click Start > and type Trouble (to gain the link to Troubleshooting) in the start search box and hit enter, theh click Appearance and Personalization then Aero and let the scan try and fix Aero, once finished it will give a report on what it found and if your PC is able to run Aero ok.

    Hi

Also as well as the above I did ask earlier, is this a desktop or laptop, if desktop then yes very possible to buy a new add-on graphics card but if laptop then no sorry you are out of luck as majority are hardwired onto the motherboard and updates to said hardware are not available.

Question, my PC was originally windows XP, so does the graphics card have to match the OS u have installed or does it have to match the Computer itself (not the moniter)

The Compaq S4300NX has an AGP slot for an add-in graphics card but your PSU (power supply) is only 200Watts.

A suitable card would probably be a Radeon HD3450 like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102862, a 'better' card would require a power supply replacement.

This is a 'Vista-aged' card design and will drive VGA, DVI and HDMI monitors, ie. covers almost all monitors made in the last 15 years or so (and most recent TV's).

Reading the top review on Newegg, the Dell GX260 mentioned is roughly the equivalent of your PC, with PSU's from 160 - 250Watts. According to a Tweaktown review, the HD3450 in a basic PC scenario uses 136-178 Watts, provided your PC is not fully-loaded with extras, I think it'll be fine.
