Unknown programme loads on start up causing major probs. How do I find and stop it?

Dear Major Geeks,
Something unknown runs on start up, causing severe slowing of my PC I am unable to run other programme until it stops. Problem is now critical. PC took 1: 50 minutes to work. How can I find out and disable, or, delete it?
please help.

Hi,
thankyou for your replies. I use Ccleaner regularly. Problem is ongoing dispite all cleaning using anti-malware, AVG free anti-virus, super AntiSpyware. PC won't open MGTools to run.
PC is 7 year old Medion windows XP.
Start up programmes are Jushed quicktimekiller, google toolbarnotifier, superAntiSpyware, MicrosoftOffice & photofunstudio.
Something runs on startup (for nearly 2 hours before stopping). Not sure what. But I can hear it. I assume it is a programme, but it could be malware. I have run recommended Majorgeeks cleaning as much as possible. MGTools won't open. PC is so very slow now. Don't know what to do. Please help.

The items you show as being on your startup list will never be on my machine.
They can all be started as needed.
Some of them I have never heard of.
On my machine, my firewall, WinPatrol, and SpywareBlaster are all that WinPatrol shows on the Startup list.

I've stopped all but superantispyware on start up. Whatever is running still runs. Been going for over 2 hours now. PC is so slow it has almost stopped.

Open Task Manager and see what is using the CPU cycles and memory.

System Idle Process is using the most CPU 89-99 and firefox.
largest memory usage is firefox.exe explorer.exe Incmail.exe

Give us some info on the machine.
Make and model?
CPU?
RAM amount?
Operating System?
Was any new programs installed or settings changed to do a boot time scan?

Medion. System model AWRDACPI
Microsoft windows XP home edition. Service pack 3.
System 32.
2GB
available memory 1.96GB.
Only programmes installed were those on READ ME FIRST.
Not installed anything else.
System Idle PRocess CPU 98
Firefox CPU 6- 18. memory usage: 48,012.

And, of course, the obvious: have you done the malware scans? If 'something' is running, and you can't see it, then it can't be good...

EDIT: sorry, misread - but I'd Still check again for malware...

Hello, I think we may have got a bit confused. The above memory is your pagefile.

Here's a log from your post two years ago.
You really need to get your RAM up to a Gig. That is if you haven't done so already.

Also:

You did not mention AVG as being listed in your start up! It needs to
be there.
As Laura asked did scans pick up any thing? With Caliban on going through the Read and Run Me again.

Scans read clean.
Having problem locating Malwarebytes & MGTools logs. They don't seem to have saved them, so will re-run scan on both and try to save another log. RAM does need to be increased and will try to arrange that asap, thanks all for all advice.
