What settings do I need to make to see that OE loads when I start my computer?

    What OS do you have?

Reason I ask is that you can place it in your Startup Folder for launch.

    C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

What you would do is add the outlook express executable file to this folder and voila! done!

Thanks for the response. However, that is not what I was looking for. I want OE to open when I restart my computer. I went to Run, msconfig, but didn't find it there or I would activate it.

Any other suggesttions? BTW, I use XP

then my response was exactly what you are looking for.

by placing that executable in the startup folder for Windows XP, it should launch on startup of Windows.

    Well, it doesn't.

Oh yes it does, only it just needs to be a shortcut to msimn.exe rather than the executable itself.

Would you care to elaborate? How does this happen? What do I need to do to accomplish this?

    Thanks!

OK, but before we start open Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options and ensure that Show Hidden Files and Folders is checked and Hide Extensions for Known File Types is unchecked.

Now navigate to Program Files\Outlook Express and right click msimn.exe and click Create Shortcut. Cut and paste that shortcut into the Documents and Settings\Username\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder.

    Reboot.

OK! That makes sense. It is amazing how little details can be so important. Thanks for taking the time to explain things.
