Ad-Aware compatibility

I use Norton Internet Security 2011 version as my anti-virus, but have some other scanners for spyware and adware one is Lavasoft's Ad-Aware Free edition. I just noticed recently Ad-Aware is described as anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-rootkit.
My question is whether this will cause conflict issues with NIS, I understand running two anti-virus programs is not recommended.

According to Lavasoft's description, I would not have it also installed with NIS 2011 -- rather I would use the recommended "on demand scanners" listed in our How to Protect yourself from malware guide to avoid possible conflicts.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I will remove Ad-Aware immediately and check the "on demand" scanners you suggest.
