How To Extract Youtube Videos ?

I know there are a few applications that will extract Youtube videos. I have never used one - can someone recommend a safe and easy utility for doing that?

But i prefeer the addon for mozilla "Karbon", it's pretty simple and allow to download any video in any website instead youtube downloader just in youtube.
