Nope. That looks awesome though. I'd love to be able to stream video's right from the TV.

It's not released yet. Are any other models out there? I haven't heard of them

hey, don't feel bad. I was rocking that 19 inch CRT for 11 years :) I wouldn't have bothered to replace it, but it died on me :)

    Yes Jim

I have one in my bedroom a 32" Samsung LED 6530 Model

Works with WiFi or Ethernet as well as my fav option of using a large HDD to use to playback Video and Audio etc, but can setup the TV to stream via the network off my desktop or laptops if needed.

Yeah just looked at Samsung USA and they dont have anywhere near the range we can get on this, espeically the internet and network ready ones in a bedroom type size unless you want 50" +, Nothing also in the Phillips range aswell.

Looks like I'll be waiting for the vizio to come out next month. I can't buy it right now anyway. That would bring me below my minimum safe financial line. No more credit cards for me.

Looks that way Jim, did have a search today of other makes and while the UK has an abundance of these TVs it looks as if the USA doesnt yet!

Did come across this one http://www.lg.com/us/tv-audio-video/televisions/LG-lcd-tv-32LD550.jsp but has a hefty price tag for a bedroom TV, specs are close to the Samsung I have, not as feature rich but ok, the WiFi componet is an extra (but the Samsung was too, only ethernet was included, but I went for a package that gave me the WiFi dongle for 1/2 price).

Have to say if the Vizo has DLNA tech included then its superb as it picks up my WiFi enabled laptops and netbook so I can stream off them.

I'm mostly not surprised that this market hasn't any new gear. Who the hell wants to order up anything to put into their inventory when people simply aren't buying stuff.

well, that TV in the OP link was finally available, so I picked it up. More money than I wanted to spend, honestly.. but I figured I better buy a good tv now while our dollar can still buy something.. lol.

On it's way. I'll let you know how it goes. The previous model had issues with the sound buzzing; some sort of high freq noise coming through, so I figured I wouldn't risk it even though it was less expensive. I tried the previous model out in the stores and it "seemed" ok.. the sound was a little "tinny". Even so, this is a bed room TV so I'm ok if the sound isn't "50 inch tv quality".

you could always invest in some bigger speakers for it if the sound was an issue. being a new tv it would be an easy thing to do :) the speakers attached to our tv can make the floor shake :-D

Not even worth it. I spent too much on the tv as it were and the only reason I bought a new one was because the other died. I prefer to save my cash or spend it on things that actually work to help me save more. :)

First impressions. The picture quality is out of this world. The sound is less "tinny" than the previous model, but it still lacks in the bass; Otherwise, for a bedroom TV, it's superb.

WiFi is easy to set up (built in, and supported 128bit WEP). I found the settings/menu system to be extremely well done and easy to use with their remote control.

Tried netflix and with only 2 bars for WiFi, the picture quality was awesome and never "readjusted" due to signal degradation.

out of 10 points, this is a 8.9.

-1 for not so good bass
-.1 for lack of more possible sound options in the menu.

    Hi Jim

Cool on the picture quality as thats the paramount thing in a TV IMHO, sound can be improved by external speakers if needed, I've not found the need as yet with mine to add external speakers, as the sound is acceptable.

Neat on the WiFi, seems a bit easier than mine, the options are vast on encryption and I needed to do it manually as I use WPA2-PSK and had to manually choose from the list on the TV for this over an Auto setting which I would imagine was trying WEP.

8.9 out of 10 is a great score and great feedback on that TV for others, personal reviews are much better IMHO than that of tech websites reviews.

There were plenty of picture adjustment options and the darn thing can even sense ambient light and will adjust the picture brightness for low and bright light conditions.

I really like that in TVs these days saves having to adjust it yourself.
