Washer/Cleaner

Hi all,

Several years ago I had a program that was a washer/cleaner that would let me get rid of the remnants of programs. The nifty thing about it was that it would tell you the name of the program that the remnant was from, not just some odd combination of numbers and letters.

I looked around some sites for it, but all I find are trail period reset programs (even though the program that I'm looking for will get rid of trial programs as well).

BTW, I'm not new here, but I did just re-register because my old user name was incredibly dumb.

I don't know if Revo would do it for you?

Eusing Registry Cleaner does a good job of listing things out.

 

If you are looking for a cleaner, I would recommend CCleaner or BleachBit. Bleachbit (opensource) is even supposed to remove the new "evercookie". Bleachbit is not a registry cleaner.

 

Better to use the Majorgeeks download links if you can, CCleaner Slim (no Ask toolbar) and Bleachbit. It helps pay for the facilities here, allows users to vote up or down "good" or "poor" products so creators and users can gain/give some feedback, and you sometimes get a 'better' version .
