Blootooth

Hi all, I have a e machines d620, about 7 months old. I want to put pictures from my mobile phone on to the pc, which has not got bluetooth, what do i need to buy, and how much should it cost ?, Thanks very much.

 

Actually, you should be able to get a usb cable to hook your phone up directly to your computer. Check with your local cell phone store and they will look at the make and model of your phone and they should be able to tell you exactly what you need.

 

Hi Icsmith, will try that, but have not seen a usb small enough to fit the port on the phone, it's tiny !. It's a nokia 2760 if that helps, will go to phone shop now, thanks, will report back.

 

I know that port is tiny, but that is what it is for. Hopefully you will be able to get the cable and just hook it up and the computer will just recognize the phone. If not there is probably some software available from the phones manufacturer that will do the job

I bought a bluetooth 'dongle' (it plugs into a usb port) for $20 US at walmart. I've also seen similar products at other chain store for the same price. I'm not sure how this might compare to the price of a usb cable for your phone, though.

 

Hi all, Went to the shop and ended up buying a new phone with a bigger usb port, but they did not have the usb lead, (typical !) will get the lead at some point. Will be back to ask how, or if the pc will reconize the phone, Thanks all.

I have a old lap top, about 10 years old, tiny, I am deleting disk c, as the machine is very slow, however there is a file which i am deleting called drwtsn 32 word document, it is taking about 1hour and a half to delete, will this make the pc run better ?, thanks all
